We tour many of the businesses, schools, colleges, and nursing homes in our jurisdiction to gain knowledge that will help us during a fire or other emergency.

The type of building construction and how we expect it to burn, location of gas, electric and water shut-offs, where the fire alarm panels are, sprinkler and standpipe connections and locations, the closest hydrants, a layout of the building and other hazard information are collected and stored on fire engines.
