fire briefly forces out guests at Moorhead hotel

A fire in a clothes dryer briefly forced some guests out
of their rooms this morning at the AmericInn Lodge and Suites in Moorhead.
Motel staff partially knocked down the flames with fire
extinguishers before Moorhead firefighters arrived and finished the job,
Assistant Chief Clay Dietrich said.
The fire broke out in the laundry room in the southwest
corner of the motel at 600 30th Ave. S. Guests in nearby rooms were evacuated
for about 30 minutes.
The
fire was reported at 10:30 a.m.
