Firefighters say the wind was working against them at a fire in South Moorhead. Firefighters were called just before two Monday afternoon. Winds were gusting to up to 45 miles an hour at the time.
Two garages were engulfed when firefighters arrived and the wind pushed the flames to neighboring apartment buildings. No one was hurt, but it caused some tense moments for people living in the area.
Four families are homeless Monday night because of the fire. The fire marshal is still investigating the cause.
