Pipeline Class Plans for the WorstMay 2nd, 2007
We joined personnel from multiple jurisdictions to conduct a tabletop exercise on a large pipeline leak. The scenario tested the expectations and response capabilities of responding to a large leak in South Moorhead that could impact the Red River and the Cities of Fargo and Moorhead. Chief Hewitt and Assistant Chiefs Doeden and Wallin were in attendance.
Valero LP is a storage and transfer facility that receives product from underground pipelines and fills tanker trucks destined for area gas stations.
