| Moorhead Firefighters check every hydrant in
town for proper operation and readiness for winter.
The operating rod that opens up to allow water into the hydrant is
worked, all caps are checked to make sure they are tight, physical
condition and any water leakage into the hydrant from bad seals or high
water tables are checked.
Water in the hydrants is pumped out to prevent freezing, and any damage
or repair needs are passed along to Moorhead Public Service. |
