Lisa Budeau and photographer Dave Erickson from KX4 News experienced a
taste of what we feel see and hear when fighting a house fire on 9th
Street North. While conducting live burn training in a newly
acquired flood buyout home, they observed our operations from both the
inside in full fire fighter turnout gear with self-contained breathing
apparatus and from outside the home.
Fire
Chief Joel Hewitt, Fire Marshal Rich Duysen and members of B-Shift helped
flood their senses with the smoke obscured vision, high heat levels and
noise from the fire and breaking glass from trapped heat and ventilation
operations. They were quite exhilarated by the whole experience and
reported the story in a mini-special that aired during the 10pm news.
