The National Fire Code helps to maintain a minimum accepted level of human
safety in most workplaces and rental housing units.
The largest priority is assuring people are able to safely exit a building
during a fire. The next priority is to limit the spread of fires in a
building once started. After that, preventing fires from starting in the
first place is important. Other safety considerations like chemical
storage and the toxins given off in smoke are also addressed.
The Fire Marshal inspects businesses in Moorhead to assure compliance with
the fire code.
The Fire Fighters, working through the Fire Marshal, inspect all rental
housing units in the City to assure compliance with the fire code. |
